‘Glee’ Promo Gets an Empire State of Mind
We’ve got less then 3 weeks till the season 2 premiere of ‘Glee’ and if the new promo is anything to go off of, season 2 is going to be 10x better.
What do we see in the 32 second promo, we’ve got Mr. Schue (Matthew Morrison) giving a little back to the program prep-talk about the sound of the group “We have to go from a small rebel force to a giant wall of sound.”
Emmy Winner Jane Lynch’s Sue Sylvester little one liners, Finn explaining he will always have feelings for Quinn, and a clip of a brand new song.
So what is the first song for the new season, none other then the Jay-Z/Alicia Key’s “Empire State of Mind”. This song is almost a given since as co-creator Ryan Murphy told us after the end of season 1, the nationals are going to be in NYC and we will most likely being seeing that on the show.
Now, that you’ve read all about this little bit of joy, watch it your self after the jump!!
‘Glee’ Season 2 premiere’s on FOX September 21!
Iced Coffee Heaven
Let’s take a moment to memorialize Summer 2010. We laughed, we cried, we sweated until we thought Armageddon had already come. And what was our savior during the dog days? Iced coffee!
Its mine anyway. And I mean iced coffee, something with its origins in a bean from a tropical isle, not something that is essentially a really dark, syrupy slushie. When I’m in Brooklyn, what fits the bill is One Girl Cookies’ 16 oz wonder. At $2.50, its just about average for iced coffee in the area but I’d pay more. Why? Let me introduce you to a concept so simple, its brilliant. “Coffee Ice Cubes.”
You are going “Yes!” right? How many times have you plunked down your $3.50 (or more) for what turns out to be a cup full of turbo, unmelting ice and a shot of coffee? Not at One Girl Cookies. “This is a drink that last forever and travels with you” says “One Girl” General Manager Joel Branson. “When I’m going home at the end of the day it lasts from Cobble Hill to Harlem.”
And this is not to mention the taste. Its a delicious, evenly bold, cold mug of joe. And speaking of mugs, they allow you to bring in your own as long as it is in the general 16 oz range. And besides coffee, they have, you guessed it…cookies! And whoppies pies, gelato and many more goodies!

My New Shoe Love ~ Jessica Pritchett
In fashion there are two things I’m obsessed with handbags and shoes!! Handbags are easy to find, I can walk down any street in New York and buy one.
Shoes on the other hand are a different story, depending on the style (usually heels), I need a wide width which are hard to come buy and then I’m also a size 10, even Payless doesn’t always carry are their new trends in that size.
So I was very happy to be introduced to shoe designer Jessica Pritchett a few weeks ago at the Fashion Fights Cancer event by a mutual friend and fellow shoe lover Jordanna Stephen.
After talking to Jessica I was excited to see her designs!
After checking out her Fall/Winter 2010 collection on her site (jessicapritchett.com) I fell in love. Her shoes are stylish, sexy, playful, full of color, and what might be the topper for me is the heel. All her shoes have a stacked wood heel that looks amazing with the style of the shoe, but does require you to balance on a matchstick heel all night. Every Jessica Pritchett shoe has a unique pink sole that is quickly becoming a trademark I have no doubt we will be seeing more of.
